Tribal Members who live in Santa Barbara
County
As a tribal member, living in the county, you are
eligible for all services provided in the clinic. If you are insured,
SYTHC will bill your insurance for clinic services and pay for any outside
charges (as listed above) not covered by your insurance when the clinic
refers you for those services.
Tribal Members who live
Outside
Santa Barbara County
If you are temporarily residing or visiting in SB
County, but maintain a permanent address outside the county, SYTHC will
provide care in the clinic. If you are insured, SYTHC will bill your
insurance for clinic services. Outside services are typically your responsibility
to pay or submit to your insurance. In minor emergency situations, the
clinic may pay for "outside services", but it is not guaranteed.
Each case will be decided individually. Our intention is to provide
assistance in minor emergencies for tribal members visiting in the county
or on the reservation.
