Dr. Howe became Medical Director in June of 2006. Since November of 2005, he has been providing patient service here at the clinic. Dr. Howe has had a private pediatric practice in the Santa Ynez Valley since 1981and for the last 10 years he has been in partnership with Dr. Michele Saunders, who is also a pediatrician.

A graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. Howe did post graduate work there at Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children. This 400 bed pediatric hospital was the major tertiary care center for children in Ireland. Services included including diabetes and metabolic medicine, allergy and immunology. Dr. Howe was the senior house officer for research as well as the covering physician for the hematology-oncology service.

After completing an American pediatric residency at Albert Einstein in New York, he Dr. Howe served as a fellow in pediatric microbiology and immunology and pediatric allergy-immunology at UCLA. He has chaired pediatrics at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and twice served as Chief of Staff of Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital.
